The original currency stays the same
Your chosen view determines the currency used to display the amounts. It does not change the investment itself.
For example, you can view a euro-denominated PEMÁP bond in forints or dollars. Its nominal amount is still in euros, and switching the view does not exchange any money.
Switch currencies on Home
- Select USD, EUR or HUF below the total net worth panel.
- Review the total and the individual holding amounts.
- Compare recorded cost and current value within the same reporting currency.
Why can a result be green in HUF and red in USD?
Both the asset price and exchange rates may have changed since you bought it. As a result, a holding can show a gain in forints and a loss in dollars.
The color follows the result in your chosen currency. The difference alone does not mean a price is wrong or an interest payment has occurred. Enable currency impact to see more about how exchange rates affected foreign investments displayed in HUF.
When fresh exchange rates are unavailable
The app can keep displaying amounts using a previously downloaded rate. Saving new entries may still require a fresh rate. So an amount visible on screen does not necessarily use an exchange rate fetched just now.
