How the estimate works
The app multiplies the quantities you hold now by past prices. Currency conversions use the available current exchange rates.
Adding a holding today can therefore change the chart for earlier periods, even if you did not own it then. The chart does not rebuild your balance from past purchases and sales.
Explore the chart
- Open the investment portfolio chart from the total net worth panel on Home.
- Zoom or pan to inspect the period that interests you.
- Keep in mind that the chart uses what you own now.
- Open a separate asset chart when you want to examine one instrument.
Bonds, cash and property
For these assets, the chart uses the current value throughout the timeline. It does not track earlier property valuations, previous cash balances or past bond payments.
The result also depends on which assets you have added. Treat it as an estimate, not a complete account history.
What the chart cannot tell you
The curve does not directly calculate your personal time-weighted return, profit from sales or tax basis. Use transaction history to check your purchases, and bank or broker statements for your actual account history.
